Recipe – Smokey Tempeh with Sesame Seeds

Smoky Tempeh with Sesame Seeds
I love tempeh. but there is only one way I like it done. Basically thinly slices,
marinated and fried with a small amount of oil.

300g tempeh
4 Tbsp agave syrup
2 Tbsp olive oil
1 tsp cumin
2 tsp liquid smoke
2 tsp soy sauce
1 tsp thick black pepper
1 Tbsp Roasted Sesame Seeds

Marinate – Place all of the above ingredients into a zip lock distribute
all of the wet ingredient all over the tempeh and then place in the fridge
for 1 hour to marinate. I suppose you can reduce that time however this
will prevent the tempeh being absorbed by the wet ingredients which means
the flavour will be slightly less flavoursome than it ought to be šŸ™‚

Fry – After 1h has lapsed pour the zip lock bag contents in a frying pan and fry
until the tempeh becomes brown which should occur with a medium heat
roughly 10 minutes.

Eat – I made enough for a few meals. So I will place it in the freeze and
then eat it over the next few days.
