Recipe – Fig and Plum Tart

This is a delicious fruity tasting tart which will make you want more… vegan naturally too 🙂
Fig and Plum Tart

Fig and Plum Tart Ingredients

115g Nutellex (Dairy free margarine)
Egg replacement (Orgran No Egg replacement) 2 tsp + 4 Tsp water
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla essence
3/4 c. sugar
1 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/4 c. Lite soy milk (or more)
2 1/2 to 3 lb. sm. Italian plums, depending on size of pan
3 ripe figs
About 1 c. chopped nuts (almonds work well).
Cinnamon sugar to sprinkle

Blend Nuttellex (vegan margarine) together.
Mix well the egg replacement, flour, salt, baking powder, vanilla, and soy milk.
Grease a round baking tray (diameter roughly 20cm
Preheat oven @ 190C (375 F, Gas mark 5)
Spread dough on the round baking tray
Halve, pit and wash plums
Lay figs and plums on the dough with cut side up and touching each other
Sprinkle plums with sugar and cinnamon
Then dot plum with a little piece of Nuttellex (vegan margarine)
Sprinkle nuts over the plums
Bake @ 190C (375 F, Gas mark 5) for 30 minutes
