Vegan Brekky – Multi Grain O’s with Quinoa

I have started to use quinoa more and more in my cooking. I like to rotate stable foods so I use rice, potatoes, sweet potatoes, cous cous, legumes and quinoa. I have also includes some in my bread that I occasionally make.

This is a good cereal that I mix with muesli and LSA.

Quinoa (pronounced Keen-wah) is an ancient South American seed that was highly favoured by the ancient Incas who believed it was sacred. It is high in amino acids, antioxidants, insoluble dietary fibre, contains magnesium, protein and is a good source of plant derived calcium. Quinoa is beautiful in salads.
