Porridge for breakfast

Something about the simplicity of porridge that I like when I make it for my breakfast.
Or it could be my Scottish heritage or maybe something to do that
its a great healthy vegan breakfast to make on chilly mornings.

In the forks over knives recipe book, I read a few different ways of making porridge.

My recipe or shall I say a recipe that is very old is the one that I use:

Ingredients makes 2 bowls

1 cup rolled oats
3 cups of water
A small pinch of salt

Place in a wee pot and stir for a few minutes until the porridge resembles
a thick consistence. It is a super easy breakfast to make.

For topping I add a small amount maple syrup. Also golden syrup or sugar will be okay too.
